Data Analyst

Description of Duties

This is a technical position in a school district responsible for compiling and analyzing data which includes testing, student census, and demographic data.  The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction or other higher level staff member.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements on or before the date of the written exam: 

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

1. Three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience in the organization, analysis and manipulation of data utilizing a database management system; OR,
2. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree in any computer science, management information systems, or information technology field,  plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent* experience as described in (A) above; OR,
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
